SQL Database Administrator

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Database Administrator to join our team to support our clients. The successful applicant needs to have extensive working knowledge of a wide variety of tasks related to MS SQL administration.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to apply and grow their skillset, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders and build CGS’ capabilities by serving our clients.

Job Responsibilities

As a SQL Database Administrator, you will :

L3 escalation support for MS SQL Server production issues

SQL Server install, configuration, patching, and upgrades (2016+)

Performance tuning, query optimization, and root cause analysis

Support HA / DR solutions (Always On, Clustering, Log Shipping)

Backup, restore, and disaster recovery support

Database security, compliance, and operational documentation

Will be part of a larger Operations Team to support IT Service Management and Cyber tasks

Required Qualifications :

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.

5+ years MS SQL Server DBA experience

Strong T SQL, performance tuning, and HA / DR expertise

Experience in 24x7 mission critical production environments

Desired Qualifications :

Previous Defense Industrial Base experience

Previous DoD experience

Experience with CMMC
