Overview

The Payroll Advisor will be responsible for delivering accurate and compliant payroll processing across multiple countries (US, UK, and expatriate employees). This senior-level role requires extensive SAP experience and proven involvement in new system implementations and change management projects. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of payroll regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Accounting, and IT to ensure seamless integration of payroll and employee data.

Responsibilities

  • Process and support end-to-end payroll for US, UK, and expatriate employees, including calculations for salary, overtime, deductions, taxes, and net pay.
  • Audit, reconcile, and balance payroll results to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll wage and tax filings, including employee tax forms.
  • Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts in the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze and record imputed / non-cash income such as relocation expenses, company vehicle use, and stock-based compensation.
  • Support audits, internal control testing, and compliance activities.
  • Provide guidance to employees on payroll inquiries and maintain payroll data integrity.
  • Develop and deliver financial and payroll reports as needed.
  • Participate in payroll system testing, upgrades, and integration projects involving SAP and other third-party systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of payroll experience, including leadership of multi-state payroll for 1,500+ employees.
  • Associate's Degree (minimum) with college-level coursework in Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, labor regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency withSAP and / or SuccessFactors is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
  • Advanced Excel and MS Word proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles related to payroll reconciliation.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background and drug test.
