CBP Cargo Specialist

A company is looking for a CBP Cargo Functional Specialist to provide leadership and guidance in cargo business processes and requirements for U.S. Customs & Border Protection.

Key Responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance to functional and technical personnel regarding cargo business processes and requirements

Interface with the CBP Office of Trade and the trade community to ensure compliance and understanding of business rules

Translate business requirements into actionable insights for technical teams

Required Qualifications

Eligibility to obtain U.S. Customs and Border Protection suitability clearance

7+ years of experience in the Cargo and Trade business domain, preferably with CBP or the trade community

Knowledge of applications used at CBP to facilitate secure trade

Experience with Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and Advanced Trade Analytics Platform (ATAP)

Understanding of import, export, and tariffs rules and regulations
