About The Position

Job Title : Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

License : Compact License or single state license acceptable

Certifications : BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, EFM Certification preferred

Must-Have : Ability to provide care for high-risk obstetrical patients

Description :

Candidates will work in a labor and delivery unit.

The role involves providing care for childbearing women and newborns.

This includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.

Experience in a Level 3 Perinatal center is advantageous.

Position requires familiarity with complex high-risk situations.

Candidates should be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1 : 1.

The unit accommodates approximately 150 births per month.

Candidates will assist with procedures such as cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.

Responsibilities include monitoring fetal heart rates and assisting with labor management.

Successful candidates will need to navigate the complexities of delivering care in a high-pressure environment.

Floating to different units may be required.

Weekend shifts are part of the schedule.

Ability to work during major holidays is highly preferred.

Candidates must have a strong foundation in both clinical and support services.

Support staff includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Candidates must be willing to engage with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Knowledge of EPIC charting system is preferred but not required.

Compliance with background check policies is mandatory prior to hiring.

References will be required upon application.
