The Part Time Lab Analyst is responsible for blender testing, blender standardization, problem solving, in-process testing and finished product testing. You will gain an understanding of the process and all products produced and must be capable of solving problems to assure 100% compliance in each specification. Work from brief verbal and complex written instructions. This position may work alone and therefore must exercise good judgement with testing when issues arise. Work is expected to meet the high standards of the company, AOAC and legal parameters. Must be able to perform sensitive adjustments of complex controls requiring skill in fine tuning awareness of the process variables. Involves mastery, skills, art and judgement, which can only be fully achieved after years of exposure to the job.

2 : 00 p.m. – 10 : 00 p.m. M-F

Job Responsibilities Overview :

1.Work on special projects, programs and other requests.

2.Record cooker steam out results and grade the steam out pads.

3.Test standardized cream, whey and WPC as required by the specifications and record results. Most correctly compensate for rinse water and communicate results to rapids, cook room, weights and special testing.

4.Performs blender checks as required. Involves retesting blender samples for moisture and fat.

5.Responsible for the salvage of blender, moisture, fat, naturals, NIR and raw material samples.

6.Miscellaneous testing required on ingredients, projects, naturals etc. as to adhere to the specifications.

7.Preparation of solutions for miscellaneous testing (pepsin, acid pH).

8.Responsible for cleaning five-hour ovens centrifuge, grading room buckets, fat bottles, beakers, moisture pans and all other lab dishes and glassware.

9.Prepares fat solution and fills acid bottles.

10.Monitoring and cleaning of water bath and acid dispensers.

11.Responsible for air exposures and swabs for startup and regular production.
