Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit night shift position requiring a NY RN license and EPIC experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit of a hospital
  • Assignment schedule is night shift, 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Care for progressive critical care patient population
  • Use of EPIC EMR is required and prior experience is mandatory
  • No blocked scheduling is permitted
  • Competency testing required with two attempts allowed
  • More than three call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; makeup shifts must be completed within six weeks
  • RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with application
  • Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
  • Applicants may only be considered for one position at a time
  • Local candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties within 50 miles are not eligible

    • Requirements

  • Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in progressive / critical care
  • Certifications from AHA or RQI required
  • Prior EPIC charting experience required
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
  • US Social Security Number required (Canadian SIN not accepted)
  • Medical exemption for flu vaccination must be signed by a licensed professional; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
