Description

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Coordinates the planning, design, scheduling and construction of capital projects
• Participates in the long-range master planning, considering and forecasting the City's needs for new public infrastructure and facilities, major renovations, and maintenance of existing infrastructure and facilities
• Manages VDOT Locally Administered Projects (LAP) to ensure City's compliance with design standards and policies / procedures regarding federally and state funded transportation projects
• Helps oversee consultants for the City's capital projects
• Participates in the development of the City's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) by preparing estimates, timelines, and scopes
• Works with various departments to ensure solid communication and coordination during all phases of capital projects
• Monitors projects for performance within budget and schedule
• Reviews pay applications and makes recommendations for payments based on progress
• Other duties as assigned
