Client : Securian / / Apex systems

Position : Java development team.

These are hybrid onsite in St. Paul MN (NOT looking for relocation candidates at this time)

Rate : $ 50 to 55 / hr on W2 without benefits

Sub vending allowed : No

Visa Constraints : None

Looking for fullstack Java developers with Spring backend + React frontend. AWS is nice to have. Really strong communication skills are very important to this team.

High-Level Individual Duties :

  • API development & integration
  • Some front end work, mostly editing what already exists
  • Unit testing

Must-Haves :

  • 7+ years of experience - does not want to consider anyone with less than 7 years
  • Java / Spring
  • REST API development
  • React Frontend

    • What Will Win :

  • AWS & Kubernetes - won't be building anything cloud native, but they are starting to do more work with Kubernetes

    • Soft Skill Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently - there will be a lot of ambiguity in this role as the project is new, so need this person to be comfortable working through that
  • Curious, proactive, someone who asks good questions

    • Client specific requirements :

  • 3 days per week onsite. The team usually tries to coordinate at least 1 day for everyone to be onsite, but otherwise the days are flexible
