Accounting Specialist
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing a variety of financial transactions, entering data into accounting software, generating financial reports, and reconciling accounts. The role also involves managing client and vendor accounts, facilitating payroll processes, and performing various bookkeeping and accounting tasks to ensure that proper accounting procedures are followed.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain financial records including invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Process various financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, cash management, and bank account reconciliations.
- Enter financial and project data into accounting software and generate necessary reports.
- Reconcile accounts to ensure financial records match bank statements and other sources.
- Calculate and process billings and invoices.
- Manage client and vendor accounts and records.
- Facilitate time entry, maintain deductions, and process payroll through a payroll services company.
- Perform additional bookkeeping and general accounting tasks as necessary.
Essential Skills :
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365 applications.Experience in cash flow management, invoicing, and billing systems.Knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint.Strong organizational, analytical, and math skills with attention to detail.Ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.5+ years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry.Good verbal and written communication skills.Exhibit maturity, respect, objectivity, and patience when interacting with others.High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.Work Environment :
The position is based in-office, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $30.29 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
