California Licensed Payroll Specialist

A company is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist who will serve as a subject matter expert in payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain payroll accounts, process multi-state payroll, and ensure reconciliation and accuracy of payroll systems

Assist team members with labor issues, verify new hire paperwork, and maintain compliance with employment laws

Input garnishments, respond to inquiries from agencies, and audit payroll transactions for compliance

Required Qualifications

Strong understanding of California employment laws and payroll practices

High school diploma or equivalent; advanced degree preferred

Minimum of seven years of prior payroll experience

Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred

Advanced knowledge of payroll systems and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
