Piper Companies is currently looking for an experienced Animal Care Technician in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities for the Animal Technicianinclude:
· Perform daily Animal husbandry duties such as health check, cage changing, and waste disposal
· Oversee laboratory sanitation and environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature
· Assist in basic veterinary care for animals housed within the vivarium
· Oversee vivarium supplies and resources
· Provide support to rodent breeding colonies
· Maintain logs and research documentation in accordance with company standards
Qualifications for the Animal Technicianinclude:
· A minimum of 1 year of animal husbandry
· Technical capabilities with animal breeding, tissue sampling, harvesting, collection, and rodent mouse models
· B.S. in Engineering or related field required
Compensation for the Animal Technicianinclude:
· $21 hour with 1 year of animal care and cage wash experience
· Comprehensive benefits package
