About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2+ years in Cardiovascular ICU required

License : State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours, Telemetry

Must-Have :

Strong experience in telemetry, stepdown / surgical, thoracic, and vascular stepdown.

LVAD competency required.

Description :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.

Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through ongoing assessments.

Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.

Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manages care of patients effectively.

Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule Notes :

3 x 12-hour shifts per week.

Every Third Weekend Required.

No Holidays Required.

Float Requirement : Yes to other ICUs.

Familiarity with Balloon pump, CCRT, ECMO Devices, Cardiac Outputs, SWAN, Chest Tubes, and Post Cardiac Surgery Patients is required.
