Job Description
The Wound Care Provider (MD / DO) reports to the CMO and supervises nurses and medical assistants.
They provide specialized wound care in home, nursing home, and assisted living settings, performing assessments, managing care plans, and educating patients and caregivers.
Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing, state licensure, wound care certification within 6 months, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Physical demands involve mobility, lifting, and exposure to environmental changes; mental requirements include independent judgment, adaptability, and emotional stability.
Position requires travel to patient locations, adherence to safety protocols, and a valid driver’s license.
Essential duties encompass wound assessment, treatment, supervision of staff, documentation, coordination with healthcare teams, and compliance with HIPAA and infection control policies.
