The South College Dean of Computer Science and Engineering oversees the curriculum, course content, assessment, faculty, and operations of the School of Computer Science and Engineering. Reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, this role collaborates with Campus Deans at each location to support all course offerings across programs in Information Technology, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. Responsibilities include aligning industry certifications with coursework, maintaining and expanding academic partnerships, conducting annual program assessments, and managing accreditation processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Curate the curriculum and coursework for each program in the School of Computer Science and Engineering.Maintain and expand academic partnerships with industry credential providers.Lead and implement programmatic assessment and prepare annual assessment reports for accreditation.Coordinate with Department Chairs and Program Directors to apply for ABET accreditation as needed.Manage distribution of testing vouchers for students to obtain industry credentials.Collaborate with industry leaders to create internship opportunities for students at campus locations and online.Partner with marketing and campuses to promote program growth.REQUIREMENTS :
Terminal degree (PhD) in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience managing diverse faculty across various levels and remote / on-site teams.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.Strong technical background with understanding of current and emerging workplace needs in IT, CS, and EE.Experience working with accreditors is preferred.Substantial experience with higher education systems and planning.J-18808-Ljbffr
