American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab RN with at least two years of cath lab experience and a current NM or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based cardiovascular cath lab setting
  • Specializes in invasive cardiac procedures with a focus on adult patient populations
  • 10-hour day shifts from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 4x10 schedule
  • Call requirements on nights, weekends, and holidays based on staffing needs
  • Floating between departments or local locations within a 20-mile range is required
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required; onsite training provided
  • Role includes patient assessment, medication administration, documentation, assisting with procedures, and responding to emergencies
  • Team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
  • Return candidates must have a one-year gap since previous permanent employment with the health system
  • No local candidates allowed; a 50-mile minimum distance from the facility is required for eligibility
  • Proper attire as per hospital dress code required
  • Holiday coverage may be needed depending on staffing

  • Active NM or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of two years of current experience in a cath lab setting
  • Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
  • Must pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Testing during orientation, with one retake allowed
