Business Continuity Consultant

Symmetrio is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Consultant to support a large food manufacturing client in strengthening its enterprise-wide business continuity programs and crisis management plans. In this role, you will assess risks, refine existing continuity plans, and develop strategies to ensure operational resilience.

This is a 6–12 month engagement with a strong potential for extension into a long-term role. This is a remote role, however, occasional travel to customer production facilities and headquarters locations (Central and Midwest USA) will be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, enhance, and implement Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to align with industry best practices and evolving risks.
• Evaluate and refine site-specific continuity plans across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring alignment with corporate resilience strategies.
• Develop and implement crisis management protocols, including incident response plans, procedures, and communication strategies.
• Identify critical business functions, assess potential disruptions, and create tailored risk mitigation plans.
• Ensure Business Continuity / Incident Response Plans meet the requirements / SLA’s of key customers
• Document Business Continuity and Incident Response strategies, ensuring consistency across departments.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, Legal / Compliance and key stakeholders to integrate business continuity with cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and operational functions.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate disaster recovery exercises to validate preparedness and response effectiveness.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance organizational awareness of business continuity roles and responsibilities.
