Experience :

3+ years PACU experience preferred

Must be able to recover pediatric patients (daily peds cases, some with disabilities)

Must be comfortable with Phase 1 & Phase 2 recovery

Experience holding vented patients on pressors & blood products

Must be able to read strips

Unit Details : 15-bed PACU

Ratios : 1 : 2 (higher acuity / peds = 1 : 1)

Common cases : all OR cases (except transplant)

EMR : EPIC

Charge nurse present (travelers not used as charge)

Occasionally 1 aide in department; RN handles transports
