We are looking for a Director of Progressive Care for our Medical City Dallas team where excellence creates excellence.

As the Director of Progressive Care, you will function as a specialist in adult intermediate level care. You will be responsible for operations and the integration of the service within overall hospital functions, and serve as an innovator and change agent. You will provide leadership to improve performance through assessment, planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for acute intermediate adult patients and select pediatric epilepsy patients being cared for throughout the organization, and specifically in our PCU, Tele, and Neuro / Epilepsy units. You will be responsible for fiscal, human resources, strategic planning, and operational functions. You will assure a high level of customer satisfaction, manage productivity to achieve budgetary targets, and assume twenty-four hour responsibility for patient care. You will function as a collaborator for overall hospital patient care operations, and be a strong partner with the Medical Staff; specifically with the Hospitalists and Neuro / Epileptologist physicians.

What qualifications you will need :

EDUCATION :

Bachelor's degree in nursing required Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION :

Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license required. Current American Red Cross BLS and ACLS. Certification in critical care or leadership within 1 year of hire.

EXPERIENCE :

Five (5) years' experience in management, preferable in a hospital setting with experience to include management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, and physician relations. Previous management in critical care required; clinical or leadership experience with the cardiac intensive care population highly preferred.
