Job Description
Our client, a well-established powersports dealership , is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations across all departments, including sales, service, parts, and finance. This leadership role is responsible for driving profitability, enhancing the customer experience, and creating a positive workplace culture that promotes retention, teamwork, and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, a track record of operational success, and a passion for the powersports industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead, train, and motivate department managers and staff across all business areas.
Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales, service, and profitability goals.
Monitor and improve the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) to ensure top-tier customer experiences.
Work with each department manager to set and achieve individual performance targets.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns for sales growth, seasonal promotions, and brand visibility.
Foster a team-oriented culture focused on accountability, employee retention, and professional development.
Lead regular department meetings to review performance, set objectives, and communicate business priorities.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs, warranty guidelines, and dealership policies.
Qualifications :
Powersports, automotive, marine, or RV dealership management experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and achieve business goals.
Strong business acumen with knowledge of dealership operations, P&L management, and sales strategy.
Superior leadership, communication, and motivational skills.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Current resident of the U.S.
Preferred Skills & Certifications :
Experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK Lightspeed, DX1, or DealerTrack).
Manufacturer sales and management certifications from brands such as Polaris, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson, or BRP (preferred).
Strong understanding of powersports product lines, service operations, and parts inventory management.
