CTICU Patient Care Assistant

24 or 36 hours per week 7P-7A, every other to every third weekend, holiday rotation

Minimum pay- $19.00 per hr

• 20 Beds
• Patient Population- Ages birth to late adulthood; Patients with Congenital Heart Defects, Acquired Heart Disease, Pre & Post-Surgical, Heart & Lung Transplants
• PCAs are typically assigned 3-4 patients and work alongside the bedside RN to provide cares, obtain vital signs, and help with feeding.
• Looking for candidates who are flexible, eager to learn, self-driven, and team players.

Job Description Summary :

Performs basic supportive care to specified patients and families under the direction and supervision of an RN or Care Manager. Collects, documents, and reports data to the RN or Care Manager.

Education Requirement :

Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program, or equivalent licensure or experience, required.

Licensure Requirement :

Active State Tested Nurse Aide License in the State of Ohio, or equivalent education or experience, required.

Certifications :

Current CPR certification (BLS for healthcare provider), required.

Skills :

Experience :

One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting within the last three years, or equivalent education or licensure, required.
