Job Description

As a Security Officer Airport Access Control in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, restricted areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor, employee, and/or contractor screening procedures.
• Document daily activity, observations, and/or incidents in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
