The Palmetto Family is looking to hire experienced and skilled CNA/PCAs to provide care and companionship to individuals with Parkinson's Disease, ALS which is Lou Gehrig Disease , Alzheimer's and Dementia. Assistance with all aspects of daily living (ADLs) is required. This is hands-on and/or total care services provided to the clients in their homes.
As a member of the Palmetto Care Team, you will: (but not limited to…)
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Assistance with meal planning and preparation, or meal delivery coordination.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment (e.g., light cleaning, laundry).
- Offer engaging conversation and social interaction.
- Monitor client's overall well-being and safety.
Requirements:
Prior patient care or caregiving experience particularly with Dementia or Neurological Disorders is preferred but not required—We Offer Training!
- Reliable means of communication & transportation is a must.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to caregiving safely.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- A kind and compassionate demeanor with a passion for helping others.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and families.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
