We are a leading addiction and mental health treatment facility located in Towson, MD, dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. Our programs are designed to support individuals and families navigating substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and primary mental health needs. We are seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team and help expand our impact across Maryland.
Position Summary
The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for building, maintaining, and managing strong professional relationships with referral sources, clinicians, healthcare providers, and community partners. This role will focus on increasing awareness of our programs, driving referrals, and enhancing our visibility through strategic outreach efforts and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, establish, and maintain professional relationships with referral sources across Maryland, with an emphasis on the 5-county area surrounding Towson
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase awareness of programs and services
- Plan, organize, and host professional engagement events, including :
Networking lunches and dinners
Open houses and facility toursContinuing education (CE) events for clinicians and community partnersServe as a knowledgeable representative of the organization’s clinical programming, admissions process, and care philosophyCollaborate with internal leadership, admissions, and clinical teams to ensure alignment between outreach efforts and program goalsTrack outreach activities and referral source engagement in CRM or related systemsMeet and exceed monthly and quarterly key performance indicators (KPIs) for outreach and relationship developmentRepresent the organization with professionalism, authenticity, and empathy at all timesQualifications
1–3 years of experience in business development, marketing, outreach, or related field (behavioral health, healthcare, or addiction / mental health treatment strongly preferred)High school diploma or equivalent requiredExcellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyComfort with public speaking, networking, and representing the organization at events.Familiarity with addiction, mental health, and healthcare landscapes in Maryland is a plusExperience with digital design, branding, and / or social media is a plusValid driver’s license and reliable transportation requiredBenefits
