The Research and Technology (R&T) Department at Albany Engineered Composites is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern. The ideal candidate will have completed three years towards a bachelors degree with 3.5 GPA and has strong programming skills to perform data analysis and finite element analysis simulations. The candidate will work closely with engineers and researchers and will participate in ongoing research projects.

• Analyze and interpret experimental data related to composite materials to determine material properties and understand composite performance.
• Develop and optimize Python scripts to automate data processing tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual work.
• Perform simulations using FEA software to evaluate mechanical properties and performance of composite materials under various loading conditions.
• Document and present findings, providing clear and concise reports that communicate analysis results to the R&T team.
• Work closely with engineers and researchers to support ongoing R&T projects, contributing to the development of 3D woven composite material technologies.

Shift Day Shift Information Monday - Friday, 40 Hours Experience / Education / Skills

Working Conditions :

Indoor production environment, duties performed indoors, adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures. Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts.
