Arizona Licensed Charge Specialist

A company is looking for a POS Charge Specialist WIS.

Key Responsibilities

Review patient records and assign appropriate billing codes using coding software and the Charge Description Master

Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical documentation and communicate findings to Revenue Integrity staff

Collaborate with other charging / coding staff to ensure consistency in practices across the system

Required Qualifications

High school diploma / GED or equivalent working knowledge

Two or more years of related work experience in a clinical, medical office, or acute care unit

Knowledge of medical terminology and current regulatory agency requirements for coding and charging

Ability to work effectively with common office software, coding and billing software, and electronic medical records systems

Experience in charge capture and understanding of clinical documentation and infusion hierarchy preferred
