Vertical Transportation Consultant
Walker Consultants is seeking a Vertical Transportation Consultant to join our Denver team. In this role, youll support modernization and new construction projects from start to finishcontributing to equipment evaluations, technical documents, client coordination, and on-site reviews. Youll collaborate with property owners, architects, and engineers to deliver efficient, code-compliant solutions that shape how people move through buildings and spaces.

At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated pay range is $125,000 - $160,000 . The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. In this role, you will :
Understand project requirements thoroughly and clearly communicate them to all relevant team members.
Prepare project proposals and agreements for review and approval by the Director of VT.
Establish and implement the project plan, including quality standards, budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
Manage activities of assigned support staff and project team members.
Lead modernization projects of moderate complexity (up to the 85th percentile), including equipment surveys, construction documents, bidding support, and submittal reviews.
Perform construction administration services for new construction and modernization projects, including onsite field reviews and reporting.
Conduct VT maintenance evaluations and acquisition surveys, and prepare clear, actionable reports.
Meet with clients to present project findings, provide recommendations, and discuss next steps.
Manage project schedules, ensuring timely progress and coordination across stakeholders.
Oversee monthly billing activities, contribute to revenue projections, and support timely accounts receivable collection.
Perform quality and peer reviews on projects as needed to maintain high standards.
Negotiate fees for additional services when project scope changes.
Provide guidance and support to peers.
Maintain strong relationships with current and former clients, identifying opportunities to expand services and build new engagements.
Develop scopes of work, write proposals, and participate in interviews for new business as requested.
Establish and nurture relationships with assigned contacts to support business growth.

What Youll Bring to the Team :
Bachelors degree in Architecture, Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
Minimum 3 years of experience in vertical transportation
Strong communicator across all levelswritten, verbal, and visual
Proven track record managing multiple projects with quality outcomes
Recognized locally as a subject matter expert in vertical transportation
