The Virginia Tech Department of Statistics (www.stat.vt.edu ), in order to support initiatives in data science and statistics, invites applications for one tenure-track faculty to begin in Fall 2025. The tenure-track faculty will be expected to demonstrate strong research abilities as well as excellent teaching. We are looking for exceptional candidates in statistics and data science, where innovative methodologies and principled applications are crucial.

At the time of appointment, applicants must have earned a doctorate in statistics or in a relevant discipline. The position is a 9-month tenure or tenure-track appointment with the opportunity to conduct additional extramurally funded research in the summer. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
