About The Position

Job Title : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Profession : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 06 : 45 - 15 : 15

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room.

License : RN license required in the State of Alaska.

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS.

Must-Have : Candidates must have experience as a circulating nurse with at least 1 year of OR experience.

Description :

We are seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for our Operating Room unit.

This role is focused on providing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgeries.

Candidates must possess the required certifications and an Alaska RN license.

The position involves working from Monday to Friday, with no weekends or holidays.

Some overtime may be required occasionally.

Staffing consists of 1 RN and 1 Surgical Technician per operating room, with additional support for breaks and lunches.

The equipment used includes all necessary tools associated with outpatient day surgery.

Candidates should have knowledge of various surgical specialties, including orthopedic, plastic, ENT, general, urology, pain, and podiatry procedures.

Applicants with the ability to scrub on certain cases or those willing to learn how to provide conscious sedation will be given preference.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who prioritizes patient and surgeon needs.

All staff are required to wear scrubs and appropriate PPE, which is provided.

Nail polish and fragrances are not permitted.

Standard policies and procedures will be reviewed upon onboarding.

There is no requirement for weekend or on-call shifts as the schedule is strictly Monday through Friday.
