Medical Assistant Opportunity At Riverside Community Care
Riverside Community Care is seeking a passionate medical assistant to join our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) team in Milford. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated behavioral health professionals! The medical assistant is responsible for managing the flow of information, communication, and data in the CBHC administrative office for those tasks related to supporting medical staff. The medical assistant will provide hands-on support with medication assisted treatment, follow up, phlebotomy, and the administration of EKGs. Among other assigned tasks, the medical assistant will be responsible for :
- Taking medical related calls, screening and directing calls to the appropriate individuals.
- Greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate program / individual.
- Requesting medical records from outside sources as needed.
- Completing all required nursing administrative documentation in a timely fashion and maintaining consumer record files in accordance with quality assurance standards.
- Assisting psychiatric and nursing staff by scheduling appointments for medication visits, nursing visits, and assisting with medical documentation.
- Providing support to psychiatrist and NPs by communicating with clients served regarding scheduling, referrals, questions, and problem solving.
- Obtaining vital signs and metrics as needed and requested by medical staff.
- Maintaining temperature logs as needed for refrigerated medications.
- Collaborating with coworkers in sharing workload.
Schedule : Full Time, 40 hours + Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm
Pay Rate : $23.33 / hourly + additional $1 / hour for phlebotomy experience

Strong verbal communication skills.Highly organized and detail oriented.Minimum of three years proven experience using Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access preferred.Valid driver's license and regular access to a reliable vehicle (may be required, depending on program location).Required Experience :
