Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online High School Writing tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from home.

Responsibilities

Tutor online one-on-one or small group High School Writing sessions.
Set your own hours and availability and invoice for tutoring sessions.
Provide engaging, personalized instruction and adapt to different learning styles.
Utilize the Live Learning Platform and available tools to enhance sessions and save prep time.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.

Expertise in High School Writing with the ability to explain concepts clearly.

Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.

Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation and Benefits

Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40 / hour with the same student.

Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.

We handle the logistics; you invoice for tutoring sessions and we take care of payments.
