Responsibilities Work in an 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care Level I trauma hospital Cares for obstetric patients including antepartum, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and Level I nursery Night shift schedule with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 18 : 00 to 06 : 30 No weekend or on-call obligations Floating is required, including to pediatrics or affiliated hospitals as needed EMR system is Cerner; Cerner experience is preferred Responsibilities include assisting with sterile procedures, triaging patients, conducting non-stress and oxytocin challenge tests, and using both internal and external fetal monitors Circulates for C-sections, assists with deliveries, and manages emergencies including hemorrhage or shock Provides comprehensive newborn assessment, care, parent education, and supports discharge preparation Scrubs are provided for this role No restrictions for local candidates Holiday coverage is required for 2 out of 3 major holidays First-time travelers are welcome to apply Free parking is provided with permit obtained during orientation Requirements Active IL RN license or proof of application in process required Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring Experience in antepartum care, high risk deliveries, LDRP, and newborn care required Demonstrated skills in fetal monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration, and postpartum care Must have experience with pain management, neonatal care, and couplet care Applicants must be away from Memorial system employment as PERM or PRN for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610162.
