Boiler Operator - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities :

• Conduct the duties of a Boiler Operator for three high pressure boilers as prescribed by law. Operates and documents all systems and services of the Utilities Department, including the boilers, compressed air, chillers, co-generation, switch gear, fire systems and water treatment.
• Provides coverage for Chief Operating Engineer and alternate shift operators in their absence.
• Plan, prioritize and coordinate the activities of Utility operation, outside contractors and service providers as required on the off-shift.
• Monitor and troubleshoot utilities through Building Automation and Fire System HMI's.
• Assist Engineering with development of capital / expense projects that target are improvements.
• Adheres to and maintains GMP and Safety programs in the Utilities Department.
• Provides alternate shift coverage for vacation and sick leave.
• Provide call-in service to Operations 24 / 7. All candidates are required to participate in emergency call-in requests as the need arises. Maintenance / Utility personnel are expected to work week-day OT, weekend OT and holiday OT as the need arises.
