Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrols

As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrols in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a government location. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming and secure environment, responding to situations with professionalism, and providing outstanding customer service. Guided by our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a dynamic and people-focused setting.

Pay Rate : $18.60 / Hour

Job Schedule :

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Document observations and incidents through clear and detailed written reports, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal and site management as required.
  • Monitor access points and observe the movement of individuals on the property to help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited activities.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
