Customer Service Support – Import-Export Clerical Support
Location : Laporte, IN 46350
Type : Contract-to-Hire
Pay : $18–$20 / hour

About the Role :
LHH is seeking an Import-Export Clerical Support professional to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative and clerical assistance to our Trade Compliance and Logistics teams. You’ll help maintain accurate records, support audits, and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities :
Organize, file, and maintain import / export records per company and U.S. Customs requirements.
Conduct routine audits of shipping and customs documentation.
Prepare and update data in Excel, Access, and other systems.
Support document retrieval for internal / external audits.
Track shipments and maintain shipment logs.
Coordinate with internal departments for compliance documentation.
Provide general clerical support (data entry, scanning, reporting).
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
2+ years of clerical, administrative, or data management experience.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in import / export, shipping, or logistics is a plus.
Preferred Skills :
Familiarity with trade compliance documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).
Understanding of customs recordkeeping requirements.
Experience supporting teams in manufacturing or global business environments.
Pay Details : $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
