We are seeking Gujarati Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Gujarati is a key South Asian language often requested in immigration and asylum proceedings.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time Gujarati English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.Interpret accurately, neutrally, and confidentially in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.Adhere to USCIS / DHS compliance and interpreter ethics standards.Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent / surge requests.Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.Qualifications
Native or near-native fluency in Gujarati and English.2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 clearance.Compensation & Benefits
