We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wire Kit Assembly Technician to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of customer projects.

Position Summary : The Wire Kit Assembly Technician is primarily responsible for assembling various wire kits used in the completion of customer products. This role involves working closely with the project team to assemble pre-cut wire kits according to the production schedule. The technician will follow assembly drawings and bills of materials to properly kit materials in preparation for release to production. The products will include wires, ferrules, labels, and other related components.

Essential Functions :

Wire Kit Assembly :

Assemble pre-cut wire kits based on assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.

  • Ensure all components, including wires, ferrules, and labels, are properly organized and prepared for production.
  • Work closely with the project team to meet production schedules and project specifications.

Quality Assurance :

Collaborate with Controls Technicians, Quality Inspection Technicians, and the Operations Manager to ensure that assembled kits meet quality standards.

  • Perform visual inspections of wire kits to verify accuracy and completeness before releasing them to production.
  • Documentation and Compliance :

    Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including materials used and any issues encountered.

  • Ensure all work complies with UL508a and NEC standards.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions precisely to ensure high-quality output.
  • Collaboration and Support :

    Assist in wiring, assembly, material receiving, and preparation as needed.

  • Work as part of a team to achieve company goals and complete projects on time.
  • Contribute to a safe and organized work environment.
  • Qualifications :

  • Proficient in using a tape measure / scale with accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
  • Ability to exert up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
  • Comfortable working in a normal shop environment with occasional exposure to high noise levels and physical hazards from moving equipment.
