The Company

Encore Luxury Coaches (also known as “Encore”) is the #1 provider of luxury entertainment motorcoaches in North America. We serve the touring entertainment industry, transporting artists, performers, and their teams across the United States and Canada in unmatched comfort and style.

Encore is more than a transportation company — we are a fully integrated organization that engineers, designs, builds, leases, and maintains the finest motorcoaches on the road today. Every detail, from the mechanical systems to the cabinetry and interior finishes, is either created and / or maintained by our teams with precision, innovation, and pride.

Even as the number one name in our industry, we’re not satisfied with simply being the best — we’re driven to redefine what “best” means. Every day, our teams push to take quality, technology, and service to new levels that this industry has never seen before. That pursuit of excellence fuels everything we do.

Encore is also a merit-driven company — one where growth and opportunity are earned through performance, skill, and initiative, not tenure or politics. Here, those who bring their best ideas, craftsmanship, and dedication can advance as far as their talent will take them.

At Encore, you’ll work with people who care deeply about what they build and take pride in seeing it on the road — knowing that their work moves some of the biggest names in entertainment across North America.

Your Team

At Encore Conversion Group, we transform standard 45-foot Prevost motorcoach shells into high-end entertainment coaches, merging the sophistication of architectural interiors with the technical precision of commercial mechanical systems. Our engineering team is responsible for modeling every aspect of the coach—HVAC, plumbing, cabinetry, and structural systems—and ensuring they are all seamlessly coordinated for fabrication and installation.

Joining this team means contributing directly to the future of luxury coach design through advanced 3D modeling, mechanical coordination, and hands-on production integration.

Your Role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer , you will lead the design, modeling, and coordination of mechanical and interior systems inside our luxury motorcoaches. This includes everything from HVAC and plumbing system layouts to cabinetry, furniture, and fixture design, ensuring all components fit precisely within the coach shell and are engineered for manufacturability.

You will apply your background in commercial or industrial mechanical construction to develop mechanical layouts for offsite fabrication, leveraging your CNC and cabinetry engineering experience to ensure those designs translate accurately to production. This role blends MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems) coordination, fabrication engineering, and hands-on manufacturing support—ideal for an engineer who thrives on both design precision and real-world build integration.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Systems Design : Engineer and model HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical assemblies using AutoCAD MEP, Revit, or SolidWorks to commercial fabrication standards.
  • Cabinetry & Interior Engineering : Design custom cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures in 3D CAD with full joinery and material detailing, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • CNC Fabrication Preparation : Develop CNC-ready files and program toolpaths for Biesse routers (including post-processing to .CIX or ISO formats).
  • System Coordination : Lead cross-functional coordination between cabinetry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical layouts within confined motorcoach spaces.
  • Fabrication & Offsite Construction Modeling : Create fabrication-level 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs for prefabricated mechanical, electrical, and cabinetry assemblies.
  • Production Support : Partner closely with shop teams to resolve mechanical and fitment issues during assembly, providing hands-on engineering support and troubleshooting.
  • Process Improvement : Identify design and production bottlenecks, and propose process improvements that increase accuracy, manufacturability, and speed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction design, modeling, and coordination, including engineering for fabrication and offsite construction.
  • Proven experience with HVAC and plumbing systems design and coordination.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as AutoCAD MEP, SolidWorks, or Revit for mechanical and fabrication modeling.
  • Experience with cabinetry or millwork design, including 3D modeling, joinery methods, and material selection.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC manufacturing workflows, including CNC programming, toolpath creation, and machine troubleshooting (Biesse router experience a plus).
  • Proven ability to integrate mechanical systems, cabinetry, and electrical components in confined or modular environments.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience producing fabrication drawings, BOMs, and installation instructions.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with offsite construction, modular fabrication, or prefabricated MEP systems.
  • Exposure to luxury interiors, coach / RV conversions, or yacht interiors.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Vault, Revit, or BIM360 for mechanical coordination and revision control.
  • Familiarity with woodworking machinery and advanced finishing techniques.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and design-for-fabrication principles.
  • Compensation details : 120000-135000 Yearly Salary
