Are you interested in sharing your knowledge and talent with students by helping them earn their CDL? Blue Ridge Community College is looking for a weekend trainer to expand its successful Commercial Driving School. This is a part-time position assisting with training commercial driving students to earn their Class A CDL and gain entry-level positions in the commercial driving industry. May assist with Class B instruction. Only 2 – 4 students per instructional session. Weekend courses are up to 12 weeks long with the potential for three, 12-week sessions per year with breaks between sessions. Full orientation and training is included for all new instructors. Drug testing and medical certification as required by DOT guidelines.

This is a part-time wage position, limited to 1500 hours within a 12-month period, with no benefits. There is potential eligibility for educational assistance for BRCC classes and job-related training and/or certifications.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL with full background check and driving record check
- Knowledge of the commercial driving industry and DMV/DOT regulations
- Good verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
