  • Performing individual lifestyle medicine and health optimization evaluations
  • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, and musculoskeletal injuries
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic test results such as lab work and imaging
  • Prescribing and managing medications and other treatments
  • Managing patients' overall care
  • Leading group medical visits regarding lifestyle medicine for cohorts of 10-12 patients
  • Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices
  • Contribute to lifestyle medicine curriculum development EDUCATION - Required PA
  • Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Training Program
  • Physician Assistant License, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut Certification / Licensure Requirements
  • ACLS / BLS
  • DEAPA
  • Current NCCPA Certificate - 100 hours of continuing medical education must be logged every 2 years. Recertification Examination must be taken every 6-10 years and passed successfully. Current New Jersey and New York State registration. Infection Control Certificate must be current. Must have taken child abuse recognition course. SKILLS – Required Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Critical thinking, in-depth experience, professional knowledge in area of specialty; updated on the latest new, trends, and treatments. Time management / organization : handles and effectively manages a daily caseload; experience with varied work schedule (flexibility); adaptable. Collaboration and teamwork : collaborates with clinical colleagues (MDs, PAs, NPs, RNs) for advisement when necessary; develops and coordinates appropriate plan of care. Interpersonal : confident, works well under pressure, responsible, caring, sympathetic and compassionate.
