Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher is needed to support middle school students with mild to moderate needs near Tecumseh, MI. This contract position runs from August 18, 2025, to June 12, 2026 (official dates TBD) and requires in-person attendance during school hours. The ideal candidate will hold a Michigan Special Education certification with a Cognitively Impaired (CI) or Autism endorsement and have experience working with students diagnosed with Autism or cognitive impairments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs across grades 4 through 8
• Manage a caseload of 11 students, ensuring personalized academic, social, and emotional support
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to promote growth and development
• Maintain a positive and nurturing classroom environment

Qualifications :

Location : Near Tecumseh, MI

Schedule : Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday during school calendar)
