Senior Assembly Process EngineerLocation

A day in this role
You start your morning on the production floor, observing an assembly cell as it ramps up. Within minutes, you’re mapping the workflow, spotting a bottleneck, and sketching a fixture improvement that will save precious seconds. Midday, you’re facilitating a quick root-cause huddle to troubleshoot a quality escape. By afternoon, you’re mentoring a junior engineer on a PFMEA update and publishing new work instructions that bring clarity and consistency to the line. Before you wrap, you review the day’s metrics, confirm trends, and tee up tomorrow’s Kaizen.
What you’ll do
- Design and deploy assembly processes and equipment that lift throughput and elevate quality.
- Drive structured problem-solving : conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with design, quality, and operations to refine product designs for manufacturability.
- Lead continuous improvement using Lean tools and Six Sigma rigor.
- Coach and guide junior engineers and assembly technicians; be the go-to technical resource on the floor.
- Create and maintain clear documentation : process definitions, work instructions, training content.
- Track production KPIs, analyze trends, and act on insights to improve performance.
- Champion safety and compliance, ensuring standards are met across all manufacturing steps.
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.5+ years in assembly manufacturing engineering or a closely related function.Deep understanding of manufacturing methods, tooling, and process controls.Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.Proficiency with CAD and common engineering toolsets.Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.Clear communicator and collaborator; effective across cross-functional teams.Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Fluencies that set you up for success
