My name is Chris. I'm the owner and founder of Black & Brew, a coffee house and cafe which first opened its doors in 2006 in downtown Lakeland. In opening my own business, one of my most important objectives was to build a POSITIVE work culture in which every individual was treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. In my own experience, I found that taking a job in the hospitality arena often meant dealing with toxic or even hostile working conditions. I knew we could build a better experience, and I'm proud to say that we have. Barista/Server
As a Barista/Server you'll be working with a high-performing and friendly group of people. Our stellar supervisors set the tone for each shift and help the team maintain quality, consistency, and top-tier service. You will be trained in all areas of the Front-of-House which creates some variation in your day-to-day but you will be given plenty of time and training to excel at each station. As a Barista/Server your top priority will be working with your teammates to facilitate the customer experience through excellent service and expert preparation of menu items. Black & Brew is a super busy cafe, so our shifts tend to fly by! We keep the work environment professional, but light, and actively strive to encourage and foster good working relationships. We want to be a place you enjoy coming to work! We believe you will find your role equally challenging and rewarding.

Applicants will also be expected to be able to work on their feet for several hours at a time and lift potentially heavy objects when necessary. Prior experience is preferred.
