Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care and outpatient experience for a flexible day shift position in a teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Work in both acute care and outpatient therapy settings
  • Day shift with flexible scheduling options, including 5x8s, 4x10s, and 4x9s with a half day
  • On-call rotation required every 4 weeks
  • May float between acute care and outpatient departments as needed
  • Teaching hospital environment
  • Epic EMR system is used
  • Position open to first-time travelers
  • Request all time off at the time of application
  • Applicants must live more than 70 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel position
  • Pre-start modules required, approximately 1 hour to complete
  • Free parking available in parking garage
  • Professional references from two supervisors within the past 2 years are needed
  • Travelers must be clean shaven for FIT testing
  • A 6-month break is required between travel assignments at this facility

    • Requirements

  • Current IL Occupational Therapist license required
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care occupational therapy experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • CPR certification required
  • Experience with Epic preferred
