Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Manager will provide strategic data-driven insights to senior leaders regarding retail product distribution. In this critical role within the MarketPoint Sales Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for creating datasets, tools, and analyses that guide the sales organization's strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support retail leaders by delivering actionable data-driven insights.
  • Explore, analyze, and present complex datasets to inform business decisions.
  • Optimize databases and tables for enhanced performance in data processes and BI tools.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to address data and technology needs.
  • Utilize queries to mine, integrate, summarize, and analyze data from multiple platforms.
  • Develop interactive online reports for effective communication of insights.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive strategic objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sales performance data.
  • Consult with business teams on processes and technology related to distribution.
  • Mentorship of peers to promote best practices within the organization.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Proven experience in creating dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualizations
  • Proficiency in MS Power BI, Tableau, and / or Qlikview
  • Experience writing advanced SQL queries
  • Strong expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and / or predictive modeling
  • Advanced competency with large and complex datasets within sizable organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to executive leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet strategic goals
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience with Python, R, SAS, and other analytical tools
  • Track record of building and interpreting machine learning models for business insights
  • Experience crafting analytics solutions for insurance carriers
  • Project Management / Leadership experience
  • Familiarity with data engineering and analysis utilizing Azure Cloud Platform
  • Additional Information

    Work at home / remote requirements include a distraction-free workspace and a high-speed DSL or cable modem (Satellite and hotspots are not permitted). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is necessary for optimal performance.
