Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care setting in New Hampshire, working Monday-Friday day shifts.

Job Details

• Inpatient physical therapy unit at an acute care hospital,
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM,
• 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week,
• No on-call requirements,
• Flexibility to float to other areas within the facility as needed,

Job Requirements

• Current NH or Compact PT license required; license must be in hand at time of consideration (temp license not accepted),
• BLS certification required,
• Experience in acute care physical therapy required,
• Proficiency in performing formal standardized tests, scales, and clinical tools required,
• Strong understanding of acute care episodes and the impact of chronic illness on patients and families,
• Ability to review and apply pertinent medical information including lab values and vital signs,
• 3 references required upon commitment, with at least 2 from leadership,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and documentation in accordance with licensure, scope of practice, and department standards,
• Engages in disciplinary and interdisciplinary team development and collaboration,
• Considers patients' age, physical, emotional, social, economic, cultural, and vocational status in care planning,
• Weekly orientation provided,
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate,
• Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a minimum 12-month break in service
