Job Summary / Overview:
The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist provides supportive assessment, treatment and resource development for individuals and families through the provision of services underwritten by insurance companies, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services counseling contracts, and/or community mental health authorities.
Essential Functions:
• Engage with children, adults and families, assisting them to improve their functioning.
• Assess, provide a diagnosis, and devise practical intervention strategies.
• Provide clinical interventions in settings including, but not limited to, homes, community settings, or office.
• Provide services according to model expectation across multiple referral bases.
• Interact with clients in non-traditional settings and during non-traditional hours.
• Document services using an electronic medical record and/or other formats.
• Represent Highfields and the clients served through interacting with referral sources.
