RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Night shift from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours (must be specified on submission)
• Work on 32-bed Neurology 6C unit
• Patient ratios vary : Days 1 : 5-1 : 6, nights 1 : 6-1 : 7 (ratios not guaranteed)
• Float on rotational basis as needed
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Required certifications : BLS from AHA, NIHSS (may obtain prior to start)
• Current Missouri RN license or eligible for Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year telemetry experience, inpatient only required
• Preferred : 1 year neurology experience, inpatient only
• Experience and competence in drug titration required
• Care for neurology, medical, and medical telemetry patients
• Work with telemetry equipment, lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Black scrubs required - no other colors acceptable
• Flu vaccination required November 1-April 1 (no declinations accepted)
• Perform direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments and other caregivers
