The San Joaquin County Office of The County Counsel is recruitingto fill Deputy County Counsel vacancies inits office and to establish an eligible list which may be used to fill future vacancies. The ideal candidates will have civil litigation and / or transactional experience with experience advising public agencies desirable.

Deputy County Counsel III / IV

Thefollowing incentives and bonuses may beavailable for eligible and bonuses are subject to approval by Human Resources :

• San Joaquin County vacation accrual rate consistent with the candidates total years of public service.
• Sick Leave : Candidates leaving other employment may receive credit for actual non-reimbursable sick leave hours (up to 160 hours) from their last agency. Hours shall be subject to San Joaquin Countys minimum sick leave cash out provisions.
• Moving Expenses : Documented costs to a maximum of $2000.

San Joaquin County offers a new hire incentive in the amount of $6000 for designated hard to recruit classifications. The eligibility breakdown for the new hire retention bonus will be defined as follows :

o $2000 upon completion of first year equivalent employment (2080 hours)

o $1000 upon completion of third year equivalent employment (6240)

o $3000 upon completion of sixth equivalent employment (12480 hours)
