About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.

License : Current Registered Nurse License in California required.

Certifications : PALS and BLS required; NRP preferred.

Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience of at least 4 years.
• Experience managing a patient ratio of 2.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is required.

Description :

The primary unit will be the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit,

but candidates must be willing to float to other designated units.

Nursing skills required include managing ventilated patients,

caring for patients with congenital heart disease and renal failure,

and performing procedures such as lumbar punctures and central line management.

Candidates must also demonstrate proficiency in

administration of medications including chemotherapy.

Experience in critical care and trauma settings is preferred,

along with travel nursing experience.

Teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment is essential,

as support from various disciplines is provided.

Candidates must adhere to infection control protocols

and demonstrate effective communication skills.
