Descripción del trabajoARRT – MRI (MR-ARRT) ARRT Certification ARRT – Radiography (R-ARRT) CMRT – Texas Medical Board Experience : Minimum 3 years MRI experience Additional : BLS, medical terminology knowledge; bilingual skills preferred Confirm patient identity using approved identifiers. Provide age-appropriate care for patients from infancy to adulthood. Prepare patients for MRI procedures and verify pregnancy status and informed consent. Assess contraindications such as medication risks, patient history, lab results, insufficient preparation, or artifacts. Anticipate and respond to patient needs throughout the entire exam. Screen all non-MRI personnel before entering MRI Zones III & IV. Independently perform MRI scans following established protocols. Determine the appropriate type and dose of contrast agent based on age, weight, and medical status. Demonstrate broad knowledge of MRI physics, principles, and imaging procedures. Troubleshoot equipment when necessary and ensure smooth workflow. Operate MRI scanners, automated processors, digitizing / copying equipment, RIS, and PACS. Maintain accurate and complete documentation. Utilize basic office equipment (fax, computer systems). Check exam room daily to maintain adequate stock and supplies. Manage inventory as per par levels and update supply lists as needed. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Maintain courtesy, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times. Provide strong customer service to patients, families, staff, and physicians. Successfully demonstrate fundamental professional competencies.
